Technology Platform for Photovoltaics
The Slovenian Technology Platform, created in 2004, is currently composed of 15 industrial partners and 3 academics partners.
DESCRIPTION
The vision of the Slovenian Technology Platform for Photovoltaics is to develop active cooperation between various institutions, which have, despite their diversity, a common interest in the manufacturing of equipment and energy. The Technology Platform developed from the Cluster for Solar Power Stations and is composed of 15 industrial partners and 3 university partners. These partners realise the importance of cooperation in order to develop synergies which greatly increase both direct and indirect benefits for the Slovenian industry in this field.
The goals of the Technology Platform are:
- Directed development of national research and specialised equipment
- Overcoming obstacles for larger use of solar energy in Slovenia
- The creation of a new and prospective market for solar power station equipment and the manufacture of electrical power in Slovenia
- Common acquisition of new partners, both national and international, in order to enter larger international markets.
