Network of Competence for Optical Technologies Hesse/Rhineland-PalatinateEXTRA
Viewing optics through new glasses: Optics is more than microscopes and binoculars. Optics in the 21st century is high tech. Conveying this is the task of Optence e.V., the competence network for optical technologies in Hesse and Rhineland-Palatinate.
Optics is considered the cross-sectional technology of the 21st century. Its wide possibilities of application make a concentration of interests necessary. Optence e.V. brings together users of optical technologies and suppliers from industry and research. The aim is to create efficient structures of communications and to shorten the way from idea to product.
Due to the forward-looking significance of the competence networks the BMBF supports seven regional networks from the fields of optical technologies, in Hesse and Rhineland-Palatinate this is Optence e.V..> Optence e.V. works on several levels for its members. For example, central issues are worked out in teams in order to generate innovation of applications or products and to realise these in regional cooperations. On expert level application-related problems are discussed and a training concept for the future is developed.
Optence e.V. is centre of cooperation and knowledge transfer which offers more above that: services like aid programme consulting, seminars and workshops providing up to date information about optical technologies and general knowledge about economics, project management or marketing. A large area of responsibility of Optence e.V. is comprised by public relations in order to influence the image of optical technologies positively.
